Jack Evans (ice hockey)

William John Trevor "Jack" Evans, (April 21, 1928 – November 10, 1996) nicknamed "Tex," was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played 14 seasons in the National Hockey League for the New York Rangers and Chicago Black Hawks. He won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 1961. Evans also coached for eight seasons in the National Hockey League for the California Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons, and Hartford Whalers.

He grew up in Drumheller, Alberta.
